Pedigree Match Maker (PMM) is a walk by system that uses RFID tags to estimate associations between ewes and their lambs, and provide the ability to trace individual pedigree. Ewes and lambs are both tagged with RFID tags, and enticed to walk single file past a reader panel. Each tag, together with the time and date, is recorded as the animals move past the panel. Software can then be used to establish the associations between a ewe and her lambs.
